10 Main Issues you should know before selecting the Finger Scan

  1. Check the profile and track record of the manufacturer.
  2. Cross check the information of the Importer and the company which offers the product, the Sales representative.
  3. The Sales Representative or the importer of the system should have official documents from the manufacturing mentioning that they are authorized to sell their products.
  4. Service and Support Team
  5. Comparison between the locally manufactured Fingerscan and the imported one.
  6. How many products and brands of similar products do they have on their list?
  7. Guarantee of spare parts
  8. Warranty of the system
  9. Servicing
  10. Enquiring about the Product and Service Standard from the existing buyers

     7. Guarantee of spare parts

Once you have decided to buy a Fingerscan from any company, you should ask for Spare Parts availability agreement from the Sales Agent or the Importer of the product. The agreement should start from the day you buy the system and should cover a period of not less than 3 years. The reason being that those companies doing the business by following the trend of the market will never give assurance of the spare parts availability because they do not know how long they are going to sell the products.

Apart from this, you can also make a projection on the expenses for the system. For example, if you purchase a system at 30,000 Baht per set having one year warranty while the other system cost is Baht 60,000 per set having one year warranty as well but assure the spare parts for 3 years.

From the above example, it seems that the system bought at Baht 30,000 is cheaper while actually the system costing Baht 60,000 works out to be cheaper because you are looking the cost breakdown to 4 years. (1st year being in warranty and the other 3 years the spare parts are still available). When you compare the cost per year, it means that you have purchase the system at Baht 15,000 per year. If you decide to buy the system costing Baht 30,000 keeping in view the initial payment without having the spare parts availability and after 1st year of using the system and end of the warranty period, you will be buying the system at 30,000 per year anyway.

Bangkok Systems & Software Co., Ltd. Policy

Bangkok Systems & Software Co., Ltd. Policy is to have inventory of spare parts for 5 years from the day the production of a particular model is stopped. This is done in a form of Spare Parts availability agreement. In the event of the company can not supply the required spare parts, the company will reimburse of buy back the system at the specified percentage depending on the duration it has been in use.
